Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation (“the Foundation”, “we”) is the data controller for personal information handled in connection with this website and the PRH Catch the Ace raffle. 2. What we collect

• Name, mailing address, phone number and email address;
• Date of birth or an attestation that you are 18 or older;
• Geolocation at the time of purchase (to verify Ontario presence);
• A payment token processed by Ascend Fundraising Solutions — the Foundation never sees full card numbers;
• IP address and device information;
• Anything you send us through the contact form or by email.

This website itself stores no personal data on its server. Your age confirmation and cookie choices are kept in your own browser.

3. Why we collect it

• AGCO-mandated eligibility verification (age and Ontario presence);
• Issuing tickets and purchase confirmations;
• Contacting winners and processing prize claims;
• Maintaining the audit trail required of an AGCO-licensed electronic raffle;
• With separate consent, sending you weekly jackpot updates (see section 9).

4. Disclosure to regulators

We disclose raffle records to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and other licensing authorities where required by the terms of Licence #RAF1555164 and applicable law.

5. Our service providers

Ascend Fundraising Solutions is our electronic raffle system supplier and payment processor. It processes purchase, geolocation and payment data on our behalf and under our instructions. Purchases take place on its store (ascendstore234.myshopify.com), which has its own privacy notice presented at checkout.

6. Retention

• Raffle audit records are retained as required by AGCO terms and conditions;
• Records of unsold tickets and ticket stubs are retained for one (1) year;
• Contact-form correspondence is kept only as long as needed to answer you.

7. Safeguards

Payment processing is PCI DSS compliant through Ascend. This site is served exclusively over HTTPS with security headers, stores no personal data server-side, and loads no third-party scripts before consent.

8. Your rights

You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information by contacting us at foundation@pemreghos.org. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).

9. Marketing consent

Weekly jackpot update emails and SMS are sent only with your separate, express, opt-in consent — the sign-up box is never pre-checked. Every message identifies the Foundation as sender and contains an unsubscribe link honoured within 10 business days, in accordance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

10. Winner publicity

If you win, your first name, city and (with your agreement) photograph may be used in winner announcements on this site, the Weekly Winners Archive, and Foundation social channels, as described in the Rules of Play and required by AGCO winner-publication rules.
